AI SEO agency · engineers, not a content mill

Rank in Google. Get quoted by ChatGPT.

Half your buyers still search Google. The other half ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Gemini who to use, and those engines answer from sites they can actually read. We work on both at once, and most of the work is in your code rather than your blog.

What does an AI SEO agency actually do?

An AI SEO agency makes a website win two kinds of search at once: classic Google rankings, and citations inside AI answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews. In practice that means technical work — server-rendered pages, structured data, crawler permissions, answer-first content — not just publishing more articles.

We fix the code

Most agencies hand you a spreadsheet of recommendations and wait for your developer. We are a development shop first, so the schema, the rendering, and the templates get changed rather than described.

Measured in your own analytics

You watch chatgpt.com and perplexity.ai appear as referrers in your dashboard, next to organic clicks. If a page family produces nothing after a fair run, we say so and cut it.

Proven on what we own

We run this playbook on our own products before selling it. One of them went from a handful of daily impressions to roughly nine hundred, two days after the technical fixes shipped.

Why the usual approach stalls

Six reasons your SEO spend is not landing.

These are the findings that repeat in almost every audit we run. Note how few of them are about content quality.

AI crawlers never run your JavaScript

Independent analysis of more than 500 million ChatGPT crawler requests found no JavaScript execution at all. If your pages assemble themselves in the browser, those engines see an empty shell. This one issue outranks every content problem on the list.

Your content answers nothing directly

Pages that build to a conclusion read well and get quoted never. Engines lift short, self-contained passages, so the answer has to sit at the top in plain language before the argument starts.

No structured data, or contradictory structured data

Structured data is the machine-readable summary of a page. Missing it makes you guessable; having two conflicting versions makes you unreliable, which is worse.

You are blocking the crawlers you want

Plenty of sites quietly disallow the AI crawlers in robots.txt, or sit behind bot protection that returns a challenge page instead of content. You cannot be cited from a page nobody can fetch.

Nothing establishes who you are

Engines answer with entities they recognise. With no consistent description of the company, its people, and its proof across your site and the wider web, you are a string of text rather than a known option.

Nobody is watching the AI answers

Rankings get tracked obsessively while the answers themselves go unread. We record what the engines actually say about your category, which competitors they name, and which sources they cite.

How the engagement runs.

Four weeks to the first measurable change, then a monthly loop. No twelve-month strategy documents.

Week 1 — Audit

We crawl your site the way an AI engine does, with JavaScript switched off, and ask the real models what they say about your category today. You get a prioritised list with the revenue-relevant items first.

Weeks 2–3 — Plumbing

Server rendering where pages were client-only, structured data, crawler permissions, an llms.txt file describing your site to AI engines, internal links so nothing is orphaned. This is where most of the gain lives.

Week 4 — Answer-first pages

We rewrite the pages that matter commercially so each opens with a direct answer, then build the missing ones your buyers are actually asking for.

Ongoing — Measure and defend

Monthly: what the engines now say, which citations you gained or lost, what competitors changed, and what broke in your last deploy. Technical fixes decay quietly, so somebody has to keep looking.

What ships

What ships in the first month.

Works on WordPress, Webflow, Shopify, or a custom codebase. If the platform itself is the ceiling, the audit says so before you spend money on content.

What this is not

It is not a content subscription, and it is not a guarantee of a ranking position — anyone promising one is guessing. It is technical work plus the pages that earn citations, measured openly. If your site is already well built and the honest answer is "you mostly need content", we will tell you that instead of selling you an audit.

Questions people ask.

What is AI SEO?

AI SEO is optimising a website for both traditional search engines and AI answer engines. Traditional SEO earns a link in a results page; AI SEO earns a mention inside the answer itself, which requires the page to be machine-readable and directly quotable.

How is this different from a normal SEO agency?

Two differences. We change the code rather than filing recommendations, and we optimise for engines that do not execute JavaScript, which rules out the tag-injection approach most automated SEO tools rely on.

Do I need AI SEO if my Google rankings are fine?

If AI engines cannot read your pages, your competitors get named in answers about your category and you do not. Good Google rankings do not transfer automatically, because Google renders JavaScript and the AI crawlers do not.

How long until I see results?

Technical fixes tend to move impressions within days of re-crawling. Citations in AI answers are slower and less predictable, usually weeks, because model retrieval updates on its own schedule. We report both from month one.

How much do AI SEO services cost?

Engagements start with a fixed-price audit so you can judge the work before committing to a retainer. Tell us the site and the goal on the contact form and we will quote a number, not a range.

Do you work with small businesses and startups?

Yes. Small sites are often the fastest wins, because a handful of technical fixes can change how every page is read. Very early sites with no product or content yet are the exception; there is nothing to make visible.
